    SAMSUNG GALAXY S2 GT-I900P HOW TO ROOT AND UNLOCK PLEASE HELP!!!

    Just been given an s2 need to unlock it and would like to root it can somebody give me the instructions on baseband kernel etc im used to jailbreaking iphones so totally clueless with these,DONT WANT TO FLASH IT WITH WRONG FIRMWARE!!!

      If my memory serves me correctly, the I9100P is an Orange branded handset with NFC. You can use any I9100 firmware with 3 files (Code, Modem & CSC) if the phone has been unlocked in a shop, i.e. not by code. In your case flashing the firmware to anything other than a UK release will lock the phone unless you use a single (PDA) release.

      Rooting will require flashing the phone. I'm no expert in rooting, but I'm sure a quick google search should give you links to Odin & rooted firmware. I use NSPro to root & unlock the Galaxy series of phones, it's so much easier...but more expensive than paying for a shop to unlock it.

          Yes loads of info on google but which one is the best and the right firmware for my handset so confusing just want to root it to get unlock to work?
