problem opening text photos, any advice?

HI i have a samsung 4 phone when i get a picture text, it shows ,,( message size and expire date,and download, but when i click on download, it trys to load , and its text me back saying ,expired, but when i get a picture from a iphone, it shows the photo ok, im on meteor Ireland, do i need to download something for it to show a photo from one android phone to another? thanks for your help, ranger.

I had a problem yesterday moving photos from samsung galaxy fame to my pc, tried a lot of internet solutions- none worked--I'm on linux debian-- finally turned to downloaded pdf for phone to find solution which was there. So, maybe the cure for you is in the manual?
