Just a quick post to warn/advise about memory card access restrictions placed on the Kitkat release of android.
For whatever reason unknown to common man, kitkat has stupid restrictions in place for accessing memory cards. And it seems that quite a few apps are having problems.
I ran into it with Vaulty Stocks. Used to hide images, videos, etc from prying eyes. The problem being it no longer see's the memory card & crashes as soon as you try to do anything.
If you have the same problem, there is no solution at present. But data hidden can be recovered.
Remove the memory card & plug into a PC/laptop.
Goto the DCIM folder, you should find a .vaulty folder. Right click & copy this folder.
Plug your phone into the PC/Laptop & paste the .vaulty folder into your phones DCIM folder.
Run Vaulty Stocks, open the gallery & convert everything back to normal.
I'm waiting to see if anything else changes with these stupid restrictions. There's a lot of pi$$ed off people out there.
