That has nothing to do with the settings. That is the firmware installed on the phone. Network settings for the internet & picture messaging will be sent via text when you use your new SIM.
If you want to change the firmware you will need to download some software.... let me have a look at what I have..... Ok, I don't have the S3 software on my home PC...must be on the shop computer.
Google search 'I9300 debranded software' or I9305 if it's the 4G version of the phone.
You will also need to find the correct version of Odin to do the job.
The chances are you'll get the firmware & Odin from the same site, with instructions.
Most firmware comes as a RAR file that will need extracting. Once extracted...
Turn phone off
Press & hold 'vol down', 'home' & 'power' buttons until a warning screen appears. Press 'vol up' to continue.
Plug phone into computer & wait for drivers to be installed
Start Odin
Select 'PDA' & browse to the extracted firmware file
Once Odin has checked the firmware you can press start.
Never interupt or stop Odin, the computer or disconnect the phone once you press start.
Always use a fully charged battery.
It's reccomended to perform a full reset of the phone once updated.
If the firmware you downloaded is for a different country, i.e. Spain, and your phone has not been unlocked.. it may lock the phone when completed.
This happened with my Sim free S2.
Should your phone ask for a network code when finished, take it to a shop for unlocking via cable.Last edited by Canker_Canison; 9 April, 2014, 14:20.Canker
