S4 Help - camera images deleted

Hi guys, my mother has an S4, never done backup or what so ever.. all her camera images have been deleted without her deleting them (obviously) on the internal mem.. there were over 500 images, any way of getting them back? ive tried researching and downloading programmes but not happening. cheers

its funny though as the picture library (pics which have been impprted) and other albums are still there but the camera one has decided to delete most and leave like 10 photos in

Have you tried Diskdiggger or recuva?

The storage area on the S4 is seperate to the system memory. If you need to you can try updating the software through KIES. But only if you fail to recover the images using external software.
Do not use the reset option in the menu as this will wipe the storage area.

so what do you suggest me to do? shall I try the first option then do that..

where can I download these from if I update the software how will this let the photos come back

both programmes are not detecting the phone (ive connected through USB)

Does the computer show the phone as a mass storage device?

If not the settings in the phone need to be changed so it's not looking for Kies on connection.
