Samsung GT-S5830i - will not link to PC

Trying setup an old GT-S5830i phone for my young grandson. It has Android 2.3.6 with Gingerbread

Tried different leads to link my Windows 10 Pro PC and Phone, but will not connect/link.

The Phone will charge from the PC, done a hardreset back to factory, turned off debugging and will still not see eachother via the usb or Bluetooth.

Tried installing Samsung USB drivers for mobiles, still no joy.

Any ideas/tips

maybe micro usb connector with solder joint not properly soldered , check on m.board pin 2-3 usb data - / +

and important , change usb cable

Try to connect your Samsung device to PC via Samsung's Smart switch program
