i am thinking of buying a advent vega only need for browsing net and reading ebooks. wanted to know if screen is any good if sitting in garden on a sunny day also is using net on wifi are page changes quick like a pc or are they abit slower like a cheap mobile phone

East answer is its backlit so no not good in bright sunny day. Wife has one and thats her only complaint.
As for surfing its fine. She uses Dolphin HD browser and it seems fast enough.


If you wanna read books outdoors then the Kindle is fab.

They sell screen protectors for the Ipad in poundland ( yes for a pound ) then will fit the Vega witha little trimming....much better that dearer alternatives or even the official one for a tenner from pc world.
