xmbc not playing films ?

Hi chaps I have a android tablet prestigio 9.7".

I have installed xbmc-12.2-Frodo-armeabi-v7a and all is working great but when i browse for movies it does'nt play Just says downloading .But when i select the player to play the film it says cannot play this media

any ideas around this guys

i presume you are trying to play movies in mpeg format (dvd) if thats the case try converting them to MP4.
i had the same problem with a tablet that it would not play movies until i converted them.

Install codecs/ a codec pack from play store.
