I have some experience with sat/cable but this will be totally new. Rather than jump straight into a dedicated box I am looking for a small s/h pc (possibly a Dell, that will sit under the tv and use a remote with) I can use as a platform. A friend told me linux mint cinammon comes with xbmc but I have never been too good with linux, I dont want anything too advanced for my first attempt. What pc requirements and internet speed should I be looking at and which sw/os - android or other for freeze free streaming of the usual movies, sport etc. in 720 hd ? Any advice greatly appreciated.
