Ipad 2 back light

Good day all,
I replaced the digitizer on an iPad 2 after a bad fall. The back light worked after but the power button did not. When the glass broke, it severed the power flex. I replaced the power flex, now the back light doesn't come on. I tried another LCD, same situation. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

Okay, so I'm replying to my own post. It seems a reboot of the system was in order. Hold down the home button and power button, problem solved.
