hi guys im trying to sort my pals ipad its stucking on the activation screen the email address its linked to is no longer in use is there anything i can do to sort it either jailbreak or bypass the activation?

There is now no way to bypass the activation screen on any I device. You need the username and password or you need the person who last owned the device to remove the device from their iCloud account.

You need to get the original owner and pay a visit to the Genius Bar, they will sort it out for you as long as you have the original username and password. An appointment at your local Genius Bar must be done online.

Google ipsw for ios 6-7 whatever was previously used. Follow instructions on how to go about updating said ipsw. This will erase ALL info on the ipad, then use pongu to jailbreak...... Regardless of it being previosly activated once "itunes can recognize it through your respected OS...then you can install an updated ipsw......It's happen to me with my own ipad "in which it was stuck on a boot loop"-(
yes I am aware that your issue is dealing with the actual activation ---which can be googled and it shows on youtube how to go about unlocking a locked device)-(I'm just an old fart that likes to talk)-it sucked that I had to erase everything, yet such is life. Let go of the old and embrace the new.

it's really sad not to find a solution with an iPad, because I too have the same problem with an iPad.
