Jailbreak Ipad Mini 2

Hi,I'm interested in jailbreaking my iPad mini 2 with pangu which is on version 7.1.2 but as i updated this version OTA I've read read if you go ahead with the jailbreak you may get errors so can somebody confirm I've done this right- backed up all my apps etc through itunes and then restored ipad to original settings and presume doing this will it have re-installed 7.1.2 version which I see in my settings and will I be good to go.THANKS.

If you've connected your ipad to iTunes and pressed the restore button then you're fine- that is assuming pangu is compatible with iOS 7.1.2
