    Got the chance of a cheap ipad

    Guys,

    Got the chance of a cheap ipad (?200), brand new in box from the local knock off Nigel in the pub. Don't know what version it is.

    As its no doubt fell of the back of a delivery van what the chances of the mac address being banned by apple from itunes etc?

    Is it worth buying, what do you think?

      If brand new in box then I doubt it will be blocked in anyway? But I'm no expert

          What i'm thinking is that if part of the delivery didn't turn up at the shop

          Surely Apple would have the serial numbers and mac codes of the Ipads missing and could ban the macs from itunes etc.??

          Don't know what to do.

                      Don't think you can permanently change the mac address?? but I think you can spoof it, but as soon as you reboot it it changes back to original mac.

                      No good I think ?? as it would need to be spoofed every time you connected to the net

                      and as I was gona buy it for my Kid that would be a pain spoofing it every time for him.

                      I'll have a read about see if I can find anything.

                          i'd buy it mate.. i know a few lads who bought iPhone 4's from a guy in the pub who 'stumbled' across a box of 10..

                          non of them are blocked and all work on O2 Pay and Go
