iPhone 4 plug into TV

I am plugging my iPhone into my TV using component cable, but I get the picture for like a few seconds then screen goes blank.
However, I can still hear the sound but no picture is displayed.

Can someone please advise?

yaas what are you watching when you connect your iphone to tv. some stuff like skyplayer has protection.
