    today when i opened cydia the whole interface was completely different,it had facebook icon and a few others ,also got a message saying this could be trying to access personal information on your device do not open
    completely threw me to be honest,has anyone else experienced this ?

      Hi,

      Just checked my iPhone and not Cydia is opening normally, maybe trying restarting you iPhone, what software have you got in it?

              I use 4.3.1 with redsn0w, and like i said at the moment it's fine.

                          Is this iPhone bricked

                          I'm abit of a technophobe to a degree, I have tried Jailbreaking iphone 3gs it's stuck on showing the itunes logo and power lead and it's saying error code 1015, then I googled to find out how to get out of it and then it said error code 1600. i have since done the Power and Home button and tried to restore via itunes, and it's gone back to error code 1015. eeek any help appreciated.

                              Use tiny umbrella to get it out of recovery, and if you are not after the unlocked just completely restore it with iTunes.

                                  cable im using greenpoison 4.2.1 and its fine on mine although the facebook icon is there.

                                      the facebook icon is always there but this time it was a very large icon along with a few others,cant remember what they were,it was the message saying that something was trying to access my personal info that was worrying me,i shut it down immediately,rebooted and it aint happened since

                                          I'm having issues with cydia
                                          Been working great for a while but today it says I need ess upgrade/no problem I thought
                                          But once cydia opens and loads up which is taking ages I get this message along the top
                                          Error netdb open nodename
                                          I can't update or dl anything
                                          Anyone else having this issue or know a fix pls

                                              I'm pretty sure this is an error received when some repositories are down. It's just a case of waiting a while til they resolve their difficulties.
