Sn0wbreeze 2.7.3 would do it ,and using snowbreeze never updates baseband ,however your baseband can't be unlocked anyway,not yet!. But jailbreak is fine this way unlocking would still require 6:15:0 (iPads) fw....
So just jailbreak for now

l just update a m8s to 6.15 to unlock but has now gps now and l dont think u can go back so be careful , if anyone knows how to go back please let me know tho

its upto you mate really you could update to 4.3.3 then use
sn0wbreeze 2.7.3 as mentioned before,but that would update your baseband again ,it would still be unable to unlock unless using ipad fw as before...but you would be on newest firmware.
best to jb 4.2.1 first or download tinyumbrella and use to save your shsh blobs fw 4.2.1 and then go to 4.3.3 through itunes...if you need gps etc then just jailbreak for now and forget the unlock at the mo and hope something comes out soon.

as for the ipsw you would have to find them on your comp or goto iPod, iPhone and iPad Firmware Download be sure to get the correct ipsw`s for your device !!! cheers micky

thanks micky tryed snow 2.2.1 and also downloaed the ipsw for the phone (iPhone2,1_4.2.1_8C148a_Restore) and when i drag it to snow all i get is not a valid ipsw ???

ok after along night i got snow to work and make a new ipsw (sn0wbreeze_iPhone 3GS-4.2.1a) then i put phone into dup mode open itunes and the window pops up saying i need to do a restore press ok hold the shf key find new ipsw and then press restore goes true the stages and then i get the 3194 error

Hi mate what version iTunes you using also you could try ireb to force pwnd dfu mode and restore to the custom firmware that way.... I would just try again first, sure you have the right fw

Have you tried ireb?, it makes iTunes think it's official iOS ,or try earlier version of iTunes ... Bet your pissed off man but you'll get it in end

yes m8 tryed ireb in sn0wbreeze to dfu mode and then open itunes and still getting error :crying: its getting very close to hitting the wall

I would say make an account for iTunes first if you haven't got one and download a free app first like Facebook?

Go into your Cydia app,Click manage,click sources ,click edit,click add and type in "cydia.hackulo.us", then add source ,ignore the warning,once done install the following from that source... installous,and appsync 4.0. Or whatever your iOS/firmware is,also security .. Enjoy your installous app have a look round Cydia and sources etc it's massive
