iphone unlock on 4.1 firmware

hi guys i fancy a new sim from 3 which will give me unlimited data and calls and texts too. i have a jailbroken iphone 4 which is locked on o2 but is running a tesco mobile sim which i have cut down to size. Whats the best way to get this new sim card from 3 to work on my phone- ps i dont mind if i have to retore and lose the jailbreak.

Oh yes so it is , anyway depends what iOS version and what baseband/modem firmware?

micky i just discovered i can unlock through o2 using the original o2 sim that came with the phone its still got a tenner on it. o2 will unlock it for 15 quid and take the money from the pay as you go balance. I will be able to update my firmware and not have to ever worry about my baseband ever again so it sounds a good deal.
