    why is bluetooth crap?

    its mithering mick again

    just tried to bluetooth our maude a pic from my N97(dont laugh)and the iphone just completely ignores it. why?

      As far as I'm aware, the iPhone 4 can't send/receive data over bluetooth to other mobile phones (apart from other iOS devices). It was really only meant to communicate with headsets etc..

      Nothing wrong with the N97. I had an N95 and it was the best phone I ever had!!

          You will need "Celeste"(in Cydia) to bluetooth to other phones...works ok...it should talk to your N97, send pics,songs. The compatibility list needs upgrading...this will come in time.

                  HAHAHA.......my N97 has been nothing but trouble, and the iphone has worked very well apart from the bluetooth issue.
                  currently talking to Nokia in the hope that they exchange my 97 for an E7.
                  a quick google will show that the N97 has been a very troublesome handset, and Nokia are losing folk to the iphone. the N95 was the best phone i have ever had to. worked flawlessly for well over 2 years, and still works today as a back up phone. only wish 3 would unlock it.

                  Bluetooth itself is ok, i think Apple have deliberatly interfered with whatever to stop any communication with all Nokia devices. A bit naughty.

                  My/our/our maudes iphone is a 3GS according to the box. but nowt on the phone.

                  The only celeste i have found up to now for bluetooth is chargeable by some guy called cocoanuts.

                              apple are being smart. it way for them to increase revenue so people don't pass on pictures, music and other files.
