Unlock potential of Bluetooth on iPhone

Apple purposely lock down the bluetooth stack to stop peeps sharing music and other content that they could poss charge for on itunes... I'm supprised at how tight they've been with it though, being unable to transfer pics/media over BT would be a BIG negative for me.. but... easy fixed on a jailed iphone with a few choice downloads..

Make sure these sources are in your list.

    SiNfuL iPhone Repo
    xSellize Repo

    Then, to do it properly.. install the following apps in this order ;

1 . Action Menu from BigBoss 392 KB
    2. Action Menu Plus pack <cracked> from xSellize 188 KB
    3. Celeste Bluetooth file sharing <cracked> from Sinful iPhone
    4. myTunes from Bigboss 56 KB
    5. iFile <cracked> from Sinful iPhone

Restart iphone, you should get a warning saying celeste's activation failed..but go into photos, try to send a photo via bluetooth, and you should get a message saying celeste was activated succesfully You may need to restart the phone once more after activation if bluetooth transfers don't work straight away.

This way, not only will you be able to recieve stuff, but you'll get a 'send to bluetooth' kinda menu in picture gallery..

and you'll be able to send files from your device using the ifile manager, you can send mp3s through iFile thanks to mytunes, which lets you access your ipod mp3 library
(Apple try and lock your ipod library down).
    ...... ......
Also, any music transferred TO the iPhone will be automatically added to the ipod library.

May look a bit much but the apps are tiny, and once it's done.. it's pretty damn seemless.... tried and tested.

Afternoon pal, I cannot install celeste blue tooth. It says that there are conflicts and/or other issues.

when installing celeste, watch cydia's install screen to see what the conflicts are... the celeste package includes a few bundled tweak applets and most likley the celeste install is trying to install somethig you've already got.. give as much info as poss mate...

I've done this to mine and four of my mates' phones without a hitch so far.

EDIT : If you gave installed celeste, but are getting conflict messages when trying to use it, turn bluetooth off.... celeste on. <top>

              2. Action Menu Plus pack <cracked> from xSellize 188 KB. Isn't the cracked version by sinful or does the Xsellize one not say cracked in title?

It's ok it says cracked when running ,just not in title

Ok all installed well can connect through pc and look at all my files through ifile , and play music in ifile.
Seems that you can only upload one file at a time,is that right?wanted to drag n drop albums to Start with, also is the only app on the homescreen "ifile"? Thnx Micky

yeh trying to transfer more than 1 file at a time from phone seems to make ifile throw a wobbler...

And yeh.. only app visable on homescreen is ifile, everything else hides behind the scenes.

ifile IS just a simple iphone browser which paired up with mytunes and celeste, lets you send your ipod mp3s / photos to other peeps.. nothing much more interesting about it really.

Use SSH for transfering multiple / larger files to iPhone, also handy for getting access to system folders you cant normally get at... eg. handy for adding POIs to tomtom's mapdata folders or copying app .ipa files to installous.

I think i ~~~~ed something up when trying this. I got everything installed ok and restarted the phone a few times. Ive had the message saying celeste was activated succesfully and now my laptop and other phones cant find the iphone when searching. When i try to send files it tries for a long time then says failed. Is there a way to uninstall all the above programs then reinstall. Thanks for any help

get SBSettings from cydia (if you aint got it already) and set toggles for celeste ON , bluetooth OFF.. and try again.

You can un-install cydia packages by cydia/manage/packages... un-install in the reverse order you installed them to avoid tantrums.
