Check your settings,general,about and its there ..
version/and modem firmware

Use snowbreeze 2.2/greenpoison rc6.1 to jbreak

ok sn0wbreeze is here Download Sn0wbreeze 2.2 to Jailbreak iOS 4.2.1 on Windows [Untethered] | Jaxov you will al;so need your stock 4.2.1 firmware if yiou havnt got that get it here http://appldnld.apple.com/iPhone4/06...a_Restore.ipsw

then u have to be in dfu mode guide on here butsn0wbreeze will guide you ....plug iphone in and follow instructions when running snowbreeze

also your itunes as to be at least 10.1 version

if its just jaibreak you want then u could update to newest firmware in itunes and still jb with sn0wbreeze 2.7 Jailbreak Download Center sorry for all the info

just download the files x2 then run snowbreeze 2.2 and point it to the firmware 4.2.1 you downloaded when it asks also do what it tells you dfu is Device Firmware Upgrade you have to hold power button home button for so long etc to enter this mode have a look here http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...?highlight=dfu

once snow as created a custom firmware in itunes you would restore to that firmware,

very important !!
hold shift button on pc and left click on mouse restore(in itunes) then u can choose snowbreeze custom firmware....location
