    IMPORTANT: For iOS 4.0->4.3.3 giffgaff data settings are updated automatically via the network so just leave the settings come in and you'll be up and running without any efforts required. If you have a 3g or 3GS upgrade to iOS4!

    (Settings for iOS 3.0 -> 3.1.2)

    1)Insert your giffgaff SIM

    2)connect to wifi

    3)open safari and go to http://invalid.name/giffgaff (might take a while too load just let it do it's thing)

    4) a notification comes up and asks you to accept a profile

    5)press install and then Install now to confirm

    There you are giffgaff data is now configured on your iPhone.

    Calls&texts work as soon as you put your SIM in.

    For MMS it sets itself up on it's own when you send your first MMS - takes about 30 seconds

    You can also send "MMS" to 1010 to get MMS setup - sometimes you will not receive a confirmation message about MMS being setup even if it is

    This works both on iPhone OS 3.0.1 & 3.1.2 & 3.1.3, vanilla & jailbroken, locked & unlocked(officially&unofficially).

    For those interested here are the settings you should find under Settings>General>Network>Cellular Data Network

    Alternative method (untested by myself - only works on iPhone OS 3.0 -> 3.1.3)

              Got me Giff Gaff up and running on my "other" phone. Come Nov. this year I'll be changing the business iphone over too. Can't believe O2 are happy to have Giff Gaff running in tandem but there again Vodafone have Asda Mobile running in tandem too. Mind you they (Asda) are just about to just put up their charges from 4p text and 8p calls to 6p and 10p. The wife's got that at the moment but she is going over to Giff Gaff too (doesn't know it yet !)......

              Can't be a bad thing .... more competition ... less ?.
              There is no tomorrow..... it's simply two days after yesterday !
