Best sat-nav on the iphone ?

Anyone able to compare tomtom to the other big satnav apps on the iphone ? I've used tomtom for years and when i try and use anything else i find myself quickly swapping back soon as i cant figure something out... i work on the road, and cover serious mileage sometimes, mostly to unfarmilliar sites, and i dont wanna spend the day trying to get used to a new sat-nav proggy if it turns out to be shite.

My mate tells me navigon is good... is it better than tom ?

drawflex i am i taxidriver in glasgow and have tried every sat nav available for the iphone since day one- in my opinion navigon is the best of the lot as far as iphone is concerned. When it comes to a stand alone sat nav nothing comes close to tom tom, in my humble opinion.

Without 'tinkerers' id have a nokia 5110, and a print-out from microsoft autoroute.

Simple......load the top 3 navigation apps...run it for week or two then report back with your finding

Interesting read, this site GPS Reviews and Comparisons has a top ten list. Some of the gps manufacturers listed have apps for the iphone.

TomTom is the best. I've tried others and I drive about 400 miles a week. The others are buggy and have been known to tell me to turn right into a farm with cows! TomTom knows best

I have not had any problems with the tomtom but I have recently used Sygic GPS Navigation as it had an iPad version. I was very impressed! I would use the Sygic over tomtom now.
