    3g no gps problem

    just jailbroke a lads phone at work and but needed to unlock to so used redsn0w_win_0.9.6rc16 but had to change base band to(bootloader) 6.4 and now its on 4.2.1 but reading on the net this was a common problem anyone know a work around ?

      None that I know of. I'm taking it you upgraded the baseband to 06.15.00 (Ipad baseband), if so, this doesn't support GPS on the Iphone.

      Not sure on a process to roll back either.

          No going back sorry,also if apple release any critical updates then you won't be able to update, but on 3G you wouldn't want to update if you want to keep your unlOck,just need to keep upto date on any new custom fw or developments, don't think everyone as lost gps just most peeps

                  yeh looks interesting Fiji could be a few months yet,also people will have to update to ipads fw if stuck on unlockable baseband first ,then back to 05.13.04 which will be well worth it to get unlock and then preserve base-band happy days for some if this ever happens

                      I did the same thing updated baseband to 06.15.00 (Ipad baseband) and unlocked but it pissed me off having no GPS not that its needed but if its there i need it :P , anyway i knicked me birds phone off her(BB 05.15.04) and jailed it but didnt unlock it, Then come across the turbo sim stuck one of them in and put my orange sim in and off i go unlocked with GPS.. There cheep on ebay and work well...

                          If you have baseband 5.08 then you can revert to an earlier unlockable baseband.
                          Go to cydia and download fuzzyband, check on google for the fuzzyband ipad 6.15 file, ssh the file into fuzzyband, run fuzzyband and it will downgrade baseband to earlier one that can be unlocked with ultrasnow.
                          I know its vague but a google search should get you the info, it worked for me but unfortunatly my g/f 's is on 5.09 , ooops
