i would probably wait for your unlock,not sure it really matters but you never know.. anyway i would use sn0wbreeze 2.7.1 as mentioned before.. get it here Jailbreak Download Center cheers micky

which jailbreak to choose ?...if you require a firmware upgrade+jailbreak use sn0wbreeze....if your on the current firmware and just require a jailbreak use Redsn0w.

Or8 Fiji ,I always recommend snow because,it's saves issues in future because it never updates baseband ,also some jailbreaks through redsnow sometimes have issues with ultrasnow.
Using sn0wbreeze is kind of a safer advice option for people because people sometimes don't give you the full story.
Just about preference but yeh both are fine and redsn0w probably slightly easier instructions
