FREE IPHONE 4.......what would you do.......

.........ok chaps here goes, came home from work today to find a card behind my door, delivery failed and a mobile number. rang the chap and he was still close by, so he delivered. a spanking new iphone4, this is where it gets going, in jan of this year i lost my 3GS, claimed through my bank for it, and its been drawn out as hell. couple of weeks back i found the 3GS, posts on here, and it still worked though supposedly black listed. last week i ~~~~ed up a firmware update and reset the phone to 4.3.3. and baseband 5 whatever, and lost unlock and jailbreak. decided to come clean and informed insurance company of finding phone, but it had a cracked back. the chap said no problem i will authourise the works for a new back to be fitted. we will be in touch. then contacted vodafone and told them same story and asked for a factory unlock. which they did yesterday.
upon receiving iphone4 today i rang my insurance company to find out what was going on, reply along these lines...'basicly sir we do not have any 3GS in stock, so anyone who has been waiting a long time such as yourself is getting an iphone4, is this acceptable? i replied yes, and conversation finished.

basicly, it seems that when the chap transferred my details and authorised the work, something went wrong and he authorised a replacement phone.

i am in the mind to keep it. what you think?

cheers chaps, as i said i am of a mind to feep it, its not like large companys havnt done me or anyone else over in the past is it?

only problem is waiting for a micro sim from voda, or should i cut down with scissors?

goto vodafone store and they wi;; give you a micro sim and port your number on the spot

why would you not keey it as he said they dont have any 3gs in stock and probobly would just replace yours rather than fix it so just keep it .

my mate has kind of the same issue,,insurance through the bank contract with vodafone,,phones lost and hes claiming through the insurance,,problem is they cant replace the 3gs and have told him to go and find one on ebay !! is this the norm ? hes rung them several times and they basically said it aint there problem,,you have to find a replacement,,,~~~~in bank insurance aint worth the paper its written on,

mine was a right pain in the ar5e, i made 2 visits to nat west and played polite hell with them over the insurance. they said there was nothing they could do until i reminded them that they reccomended and sold it to me. after the second visit things did move a 'little' more efficiently.

his bank have basically rubbed there hands clean of the whole saga and told him to deal directly with the insurance koonts
this cant be right surely ?
