no matter how hard i try, this dam operating system just will not do what you want. all the downloads, firmware upgrades, jailbreaks etc i try this bastad computer just will not perform them. followed the 4.3.3 jailbreak word for word off you guys, youtube, and that apple pro site about a dozen ~~~~in times and the twot staill aint jailbroken. ~~~~ im furious.........my poxy pc at home has a tiny hard drive and is full.......anybody near me sort it for me? either a jailbreak or some new software for this ~~~~in machine ............AAAAGGGHHHHH

Maybe the redsnow will be better for vista ? Let's recap what phone fw baseband are we on now?,also a suggestion for your unzip problem, download 7zip from here in pc downloads opens 20% more than winrar/pc .once downloaded right click Ipsw and extract with 7zip to desktop and point to it in snowbreeze/redsnow..cheers Micky

Done a phone on 4.3.1 last night mickey on snowbreeze. Fell over.

Went on to try redsnow and worked flawlessly.
Nice and quick and simple.

NOt saying snowbreeze is bad but i prefer the redsnow. First phone id done sine the 3.x.x version

Cheers guys, much appreciated. I think the main problem lies with Vista, it's not just the jailbreak there have been several issues over the 2 years or so of ownership. It's SH1TE!!!!!!

where did you get the ISPW from m8 ??? had same probs last week i end up using safari to download the ispw and it worked first time with snow

its simple, its this dammed operating system. it changes stuff when you download. they may be simple changes, but if your not that computer literare your stuffed. all i can do is follow instruction, anything outside that im ~~~~ed.

m8 try downloading the ispw with safari, i to usesd the same site as you and had probs with the ispw saying unable to recognisespecified ISPW and that was with xp pro so its worth ago with safari
