Don't download large files on the iPhone takes forever .... use the computer to download, then either drag into iTunes and sync... or use SSH to drag into iPhone much faster...

downloaded ipsw, came zipped, just put .ipsw after it, am i ready to go? just seems to simple, dont want to ~~~~ phone
The jailbreak does`nt alter your phone, its just software
if any problems just restore your phone with itunes.

The other easy method is just to "Buy it"....

is it actually worth jailbreaking my iphone 4?

What are the benefits? and will i get all apps free or will i still have to pay for some?

andy you will only get free apps if they have been uloaded by to the instalous server or any other libraries that you choose to download from. This means that you will get 99 per cent of the apps you see on the app store from those sources but the more obscure or unusuall apps can be harder to get. Remember that jailbreaking is not just about free apps there loads of folks just use cydia to instal new themes and tweaks into their iphones or ipods to personalize them.
