Yes.... The unlock will be soon.... Been reading a load of good stuff coming out from Comex(iPhone dev team). Another userland type jailbreak and unlock hopefully. Patience. -

what network are you on...?
Some people on here have approached their network provider to get a "factory unlock"....even on pay as you go...Comment

Nope, no soft unlock for now... Comex will release a jail but not unlock... May be after the release of iPhone 5 there will be unlock for older basebandsComment

The problem with waiting on the release of the fabled Iphone 5 comes in three forms...
1. There is no sign of an Iphone 5
2. Samsung will no longer be providing processors or memory to Apple. So Apple have a new supplier. The architecture of the chips will be very different so the source code of the o/s will have to be rewritten & tested... This is going to take time.
3. With the new source code could come new ways of protecting the SIM lock. If you had to completely change your software, why would you leave to old flawed system in place?Canker
