    Dummies Guide to Jailbreaking Part 1

    This first guide is for Sn0wbreeze...All versions of Sn0wbreeze work roughly in the same way....



    Navigate to the iH8sn0w.com site and download the correct sn0wbreeze for your firmware.



    Navigate to http://www.felixbruns.de and download the correct firmware for your iDevice..in my case iPhone4-4.3.3 FW



    Run Sn0wbreeze.This will be the first screen you meet...just "OK" it then NEXT(blue arrow)





    Close credits - NEXT(blue arrow)

      Browse to where you saved the downloaded IPSW file from Felix Brun site select the firmware(sn0wbreeze will start to identify the IPSW file....) NEXT(blue arrow)

      Sn0wbreeze will verify the firmware



      Once verified, NEXT(blue arrow)



      Select Expert mode, NEXT(blue arrow)



      Select General, NEXT(blue arrow)

          Here you can select your options, enable Multitasking Gestures, Install SSH Enable Animated Logo etc you can even increase the Root partition size if you want. NEXT(blue arrow)



          This is your chance to pre-install Cydia apps(Browse to location) if you have the .deb files. Most of you will just leave it blank NEXT(blue arrow)



          Select BuildIPSW, NEXT(blue arrow)



          I always click on the Spinner option to close to the finish line, to fool around with PacMan, while waiting for your Custom firmware to be built..Go and make yourself a coffe/tea....... once completed NEXT(blue arrow)

              Follow instructions click OK



              Power off iPhone hold power button till "Slide to Power Off" appears..

              Follow the next few on screen instruction on how to enter DFU mode. Sn0wbreeze will not allow you to get this wrong.make sure you know the difference between Home and Power button.

              Once you get into DFU mode, iTunes should detect your iPhones state, it will want you to Restore.



              1 (For Windows Only) Hold Shift button and click on Restore

              2 A pop up window will appear asking for your IPSW file, this you Will find on your desktop .notice your IPSW file now is called Sn0wbreeze_iPhone....highlight the file and click open

              3 iTunes will now begin the process of installing your new firmware

              4 Don't forget to Activate your iPhone with iTunes!!
