i just tried it on an iphone 4 and installed cydia fine in about 30 seconds great i thought but when i went into cydia andything i tried to download had no install tab and a message about mobile substrate missing so tried downloading mobile substrate and tried again with no luck

i jailbreaked a friends phone the other night using redsnow
had exactly the same issues with the mobile substrate missing,so i dl that seperately installed it but still no luck,it was running very slow indeed,,,,in the end reverted it back,,thought maybe there was some issue with cydia

i too found the phone running slowly and even after a restore and re jailbreak with redsnow ! my installous and cydia seems to be running very very slowly since.

Check you have the latest version of Cydia installed...? Update if necessary....



If you have used this method to Jailbreak you iDevice or NOT, you MUST install "PDF patcher 2" from Cydia....The exploit used for JailbreakMe can be used by hackers to corrupt your iDevice.

cydia and installous are all running slowly- this is due to the sheer amount of people downloading stuff on their iphones and especially ipad 2. Back to normal in a few days.

Just jailbroken my phone, installed cydia, PDF patch 2, and dtunes. Rebooted my device in under a minute with no problems at all.
Any suggestions on what else to install please. Installous etc
