iphone4 with 4.3 question?

Chap at work asked if his iphone4 can be jailbreak'd it has version 4.3 fw on it and baseband 4.10.01

Can it be jailbreak'd and with what software please? or will jailbreakme.com do it?

if you aint bothered/interested in unlocking it yourself, (much less hastle to unlock through mobile carrier) you don't have to worry about basebands.... and yeh 4.3 is jailbreakable.. it'd be a good idea to update to 4.3.3 (latest and still jailbreakable) before JB though.

I used redsn0w_win_0.9.6rc15 to do my iPhone 4 4.3.3, no problems.

go on safari type in web bar jailbreakme.com
click free to install cydia will install on the phone
when cydia is installed go to manage sources edit (at top right) click and click add enter http://cydia.hackulo.us click add anyway once installed click hackulo in sources and add installous 4

Thanks, jailbreaked many using various progs including jailbreakme.com but their site doesnt mention what fw it will jb

you will need a gevey card to unlock with that baseband m8,make sure you buy a genuin one.there cheap and do work.

either buy one of these Unlock IPhone 4 4.3.3 and below - Gevey SIM Gevey PRO $27,95

or prob much cheaper and easir to go to the carrier it's locked to because most of 'em will unlock while still in contract, for about 10-15 quid.. takes couple of days, then unlocks through itunes.

Before you start paying out good money for third party devices to unlock your iPhone....try the obvious route by contacting the network provider and requesting a price to receive a genuine "factory unlock"...on Orange in the UK will cost ?20...cheap in my book...
