i am fairly new to smart phones and digital kaos, and not long ago asked a similar question.

in my opinion the iphone is better once jailbroken. the general build quality and lifespan of the phone seems better to me. but, you must look at and hold all devices and make your own conclusion.

yip i agree with the others, iv had an iphone 4 and i hated it, there so closed down its unreal, whereas android phones are open source and you can do pretty much whatever you want, iv got the samsung galaxy s and cant fault it!

Well I used an Iphone for the last few years, got a Blade and the iphone is now rusting away, the Blade leaves it for dead.

i've had an iphone 3gs, now i've had a galaxy s for coming upto a year and i have to say..............i won't be going back to an iphone. android as a platform is customisable to each individual needs, there are lots of different options to tweak the phone. in general very good.

iphone is only really good for games.

Well I used an Iphone for the last few years, got a Blade and the iphone is now rusting away, the Blade leaves it for dead.

The Blade isn't even a top of the range handset. Say's a lot for Apple, doesn't it.


If you can wait a little bit longer before committing to a phone, you might want to let Samsung release the sister to the Galaxy S2.
Everything so far is pointing to the S2 being released with a new case & Windows 7 Mango later this year. I know windows isn't to everybody's taste, but it has a very good support base & the battery life is less of an issue than on Android phones.
Speed is also improved. The Galaxy S & HTC 7 Mozart use the same 1GHz snapdragon processor. But the HTC 7 is way faster & smoother than the Galaxy S. Microshite are also tightening their control over the hardware that can be used for Mango. I don't like the idea too much, but it will mean the final product will have less conflicts & more stable platform.

If it all works as planned microshite will be challenging Apple on the o/s front & Samsung will be sticking it to Nokia who are releasing Windows handsets shortly.

I'm not hard to please. I only ask for a few things from my phone: battery life; not painfully slow to use; a plethora of apps. For me, and I'm keen to emphasise that this is just my personal opinion, it's Apple.

I'll be keeping a keen eye on Android developments, Hoping to see improvements on that will make the battery take on a full days activity from a medium/heavy user.

iphone is so crap when it has not been jailbroken so my advice is iphone = jailbreak, download anything for free and then even customise your iphone in anyway possible with loads of tweaks from the cydia app (store) you can even change the theme of your iphones springboard into anything that is available i.e a htc check it out the app in cydia is called dreamboard then you download themese for dreamboard its amazing. sooooo much more i could tell you but its better to try it for yourself. gudluck.

All these so called iphone beaters are only there because the iphone continually raises the bar. Its what always happens with technology companies. Apple will raise the bar again this year with iphone 5, and all the rival companies will hit back with their own equal or better versions. For me its like whats best the ps3 or xbox 360 and i prefer a jailbroken iphone over anything.
