    sat nav

    just got i phone 4, what sat nav can i put on it for free and dose it need jail braking to do it ?

    Jailbreak it and they are all free, I use tomtom should be ?59 I think

      Have a look on the navigation section of the appstore. Theres a free one there called navfree gps. I have never used the thing but its free and highly rated by those who have tried it. Also there is no jailbreak required.

        ive tried loads of them and until i jailbroke it and put tomtom on in was not happy, the tomtom is the bees. i use it everwhere now.

          im not trying to hijack this thread but i got a sat nav question and thought it belongs in here
          anyway im off to morocco tomorrow,,i got tomtom morocco off installous for my jb iphone,,my question is this,,,if i use it in morocco will that be charged on my bill ? does the phone need data roaming enabled for me to use it ? i dont want to get home and get a massive data roaming bill for using the app,,,i think it dosent use it but would like some confirmation please,,,robbing ~~~~ers want ?3 min to make a call !!!! so im getting clued up now not later

            Just turn off data roaming to be safe. See if it works. I dont think it uses it anyway.

              I used mine in france with a payg sim in, turned data roaming of and it work abroad without charging me.

                if you want to install the nav apps for free you can:
                1. jailbreak your iPhone
                2. in Cydia go to Manage -> Sources -> Edit -> Add and type in http://cydia.hackulo.us press Add Source, a message will pop up, press Add Anyway -> press done -> enter the newly added suorce -> install Installous 4.
                3. you will find Installous as a normal app in your iPhone, now just run it, you can search any app available and it is free to download and install.

                BEWARE: this is an illegal method, the apps are hacked, so use it on your own risk.
