You will need to download THE CORRECT FIRMWARE for your iPhone, You'll need tinyumbrella....and I would suggest using sn0breeze to jailbreak..
Correct Firmware = Your desired firmware you want to downgrade to...

You must have SHSH files saved for firmware

I know everything you read on the net aint true but ive done this myself on a 3gs with no problems...that software grabs SHSH even if they aint saved (as far as im aware) and then in itunes you can restore your phone to a previous version i.e 4.1 by selecting shift and choosing that particular ios.

And i work in an independent phone shope where the technician has used this method on a number of phones.

And the SHSH blob files are bascially used to confrim the software when its being restored in itunes....sorta like a signature to assign the software

I'm sorry if I offend you but you have no idea what you or your fellow work mates on your market stall are talking about...

Any SHSH tool you use can only grab/copy the most current "signed" firmware released by Apple... eg : at this moment in time 4.3.5FW is officially the current firmware out, therefore the only SHSH blob that can be saved/copied/grabbed is 4.3.5FW

The only tool available that will grab your SHSH blob regardless if the firmware your on is "signed" or not, is called iFaith released by iH8sn0w...

What you "missed" out is the basic fact that SHSH blobs are used to confirm the firmware is the most CURRENT....
Apple do not want iDevice users to be able to roll back the firmware...

One of the links you point to, has this tagged to the bottom of the right up
"These method was tried by a user and we didn?t try it yet. So if you will go through with it, Feed us back."
                Quality

My point to all my rants is that people like you, with little knowledge, posting poor quality links can do damage...

Mate fair enough if you dont beleive me, but i was just trying to help out the person who created this thread...I know that what ive posted works so im happy with that if you dont believe it or are happy with that then fair enough.

Btw i think apple are still signing the software untill 4.1 at least that what i read in another post here in this forum...
