    iphone 3g with 1015 error and no shsh saved

    hi guys ive got a iphone 3g that was jailbroken i tried to restore it but its given me error 1015. ive looked into a way round it but it says i need the shsh files which i dont think i have saved on my pc anymore.

    is there any other way of getting the phone restored?

            i was thinking of just using one of the programs that will bypass the error and restore the phone what do u think?

                  If your using a 3G the highest firmware you can restore/install to is 4.2.1.....you don't need your SHSH files saved.... if your using tinyumbrella you need to un-check the "set host to cydia on exit" (or do this manually) then just do a normal restore and jailbreak with Greenp0ison or what ever

                    when i do the restore through itunes and select the firmware i get the error. im i better doing a restore through one of the jailbreak programs?

                      You can't restore through any other medium except iTunes...
                      Have you changed your host files in iTunes..?
                      Have you used tinyUmbrella at ANY time???
