does anyone got a fix for this problem my 3g will not switch off. ive try home button 10 seconds trick.but the phone not havin it..do you guys think it software or hardware???..thanks

I've seen it a few times. Mainly on water damaged phones.
Worst case is the ribbon needs changing. The ribbon has the power & volume buttons, and the headphone jack attached.
Not a nice repair, very fiddly.Canker
