replace digitiser now home button not workin

hi all i replace the digitiser on my 3g phone but now the home button isnt working its pushing down but the phone isnt responding.?

Think you may have done what I did when I replaced my digitiser.

I managed to break off one of the two very small spring contacts that go between the home button and the motherboard. They are really small and not very strong. I ended up ordering a new home button from this guy on ebay

He seems to have put his prices up as I am sure it was only ?1.99 but still not a bad price. Posted it off to me inside 3 days.

Try and save the small black sticky bits on the ribbon and you will still need the actual black button from your existing button too.

A quicker repair is to put a blob of solder on the area where the connector snapped.

It's not ideal, but it works.

Once you have the replacement part you can change it over at your leisure.

connector doesnt look snapped and the button still presses down but the phone doesnt respond i have ordered a new ribbon cable for the home button hope to get it tomorrow so will replace it and try it.
