dodgy one, you could get the lmei from it and try Apple, tell them what you told us, they might unblock it..

This won't work, the phone is blocked.

Who paid out on the insurance?

If it was the network then forget it.

If the insurance company contacted the network to tell them they are replacing the phone..... Forget it.

Taking that the network didn't replace it & the insurance company didn't contact the network.....

Just call the network & tell them you found the phone under your drivers seat in the car.
They will ask you some security questions & then some details from the phone (mainly IMEI). It should then be removed from the blacklist.

DO NOT mention anything to do with insurance. If they ask tell them they wouldn't cover lost handsets, so you borrowed a friends spare phone while saving your pennies for a replacement.

            Good luck

Just stick it on eBay, you'll make ?200+ even when it's locked

You can change the IMEI but if you get caught, it's the equivalent of changing a VIN on a car and you can get 5 years in prison

Dont know how he does it smirnoff but i can verify it works- ive used his service twice with blocked phones and got two brand spanking new iphone 4,s within days. I noriced he put his price up 100 quid though but still worth it if you find an iphone 4 thats blocked.
