iphone 4 quick question

i am thinking of buying a second hand iphone 4, how do i tell if the phone is on contract or not??

i dont want to buy the phone and then the seller cancels contract or "lost hit phone" and im stuck with a blocked phone

any help much appreciated

get him to show you 2 pic` of the phone in settings showing the serial number of the phone, with 2 different carriers at the top ( voda, virgin, t-mobile e.t.c )


but he could still have the phone blocked due to the ILME number

get the imei number from them and check it with CheckMEND - The Global Second-Hand Stolen Goods Database for Public & Trade Checking but they could still sell you the phone today and report it lost/stolen or have it blocked by the service provider any time even months from now

1-Buy the iPhone from someone local..
2-make sure it's on the same Network as you and not "software unlocked".
3-Contact Network provider stating you are the new owner of that particular handset.
4-Apply baseball bat if all else fails

LOL, Is there anyway I can find out if it is on pay. As you go, if it is I wouldn't have to worrry ?

Try and pick up the phone personally....again ring network provider asking if it's a P.A.Y.G handset....
