ios 5, apple fight back against jailbreakers

alledgedly apple are fighting back, ios 5 now checks your computer for a particular file thats needed for jailbreaks, if detected it puts your phone into an infinate loop. the reset loop or something.

i know its a little vague, but its all i know at the mo, maybe one of the big boys will pick it up and elaborate or dismiss.

here we go, try this http://sbraidley.wordpress.com/

hi mick i suppose the hackers will open the firmware and simply remove anything malicious from it- its always a game of cat and mouse between them.

This is true - well sort of, when restoring at the end of the process iTunes connects to apples server to verify, if it cannot due to tiny umbrella modifying the hosts file you get stuck in a loop, this happens to me back when I first got an iPhone, dead easy fix just delete the apple entry in the hosts file
            sigpic another happy customer

Sent from my keyboard using fingers to type

this is not a new thing within ios5 tho as stated in the op so as i said bullshit deleting the apple entry in the host file has been used for ages to restore or downgrade as not to verify the restore/downgrade with apples server etc
