is it worth updating

l have an iphone 4 tethered with 4.4.3 l think ? is it worth going to 5.0 , and do l have to back my apps up or will it overwrite and leave apps there

Settings>General>About>>Version will give you your firmware...

4.3.3 = UnTethered
4.3.5 = Tethered

If your on a Tethered jailbreak you may as well upgrade to 5.0...hopefully Untethered out soon

Backup and Sync then upgrade...

yea 4.3.5 , not sure l can be bothered theres nothing in the update l would use

IOS 5 is totally different to 4.3.5....even in it's standard state(non-jailbroken) my iPhone4 feels faster...I'm very happy with ios5...

When do you Jailbreak...?
People are having problems because they are trying to install Cydia app/tweaks meant for ios4.x....(on the whole tweaks designed for ios4 about 65% of the time will fail on ios5)
If a UnTethered jailbreak was released tomorrow people would still be bitching about "problems".

The problem lies with the developers of cydia tweaks not updating fast enough to work on ios5....jailbreaking is not the problem it's what you install from Cydia.
