    Iphone 4s no wifi signal

    Hi,
I've just bought a iphone 4s and its a great bit of kit except for the poor wifi signal. I can get the wifi signal at home and I did get the signal originally at my work but now the signal has gone. I've read loads on google about trying to reset network settings, all settings, renew lease, forget network, power off,and loads of other things to get the wifi signal back.It sees the wifi router and I enter the password and it just seems to be trying to connect but nothing happens. Anyone out there with anything different to try.
    Thanks in advance

I would do a full restore through itunes see if that helps, if not take it back to the shop.

      Hi,
Yes I have now tried a complete factory reset through itunes but still it sees the wifi router but does not connect. It's very odd that another iphone 4s standing next to me connects no problem. Anyway I went to the Apple shop today and explained the situation and they said they have not heard of that problem, but gave me another iphone 4s. When I get back to work I'll let you know how I get on.

            I have the solution:

1 - Go to the store.
2 - Say that you're not happy with the iPhone.
            3 - Ask for a full refund.
            4 - Buy a Nokia.

I am sorry for my sarcasm :P

Did it help? Push Thanks below

I had the same prob with my iPhone, took it back to the shop, they checked it said it was faulty. Result new phone.
(Made them check it connected to wifi before leaving shop.)

              Hope this helps.

                Hi,
Yes I got a new phone from the apple store and when I got back to work just after xmas all worked fine - picking up the wifi signal no problem. Great I thought until yesterday the same thing has happened again no wifi signal. It sees the router but doesn't connect and again someone else next to me with a 4s connects! I've tried a factory reset and everything else. Any ideas anyone or should I just go back to the apple shop again.

probably refurbished phones they keep giving you
make sure its a brand spanking new never been used AT ALL i phone
you see when you send a faulty phone back they sort it(supposedly) next person who comes in with faulty handset gets the refurbished one you brought in
tell them this and get them to prove to you its never been returned

Have you checked the router as I had the same problem with my i4. It would not connect but my 3GS would, it was the firewall settings and the channel settings that where at fault...

                        Hi
I've tried switching the router on/off a few times but still no joy. I can't actually get into the routers setting as its a works router and typing in the DNS address on my laptop won't access it either. I think I'll just go back to the apple shop and try and get a new one.

You said in your first post that you can connect to your home wifi. Can you still do that with the replacement phone? If you can then there is nothing wrong with the phone's wifi. The problem lies with your work router....

                            Hi,
Yes the new phone does connect to my home wifi, its just the works one that doesn't. I still can't understand why other 4s at work connects and mine doesn't. I'll just use the 3G instead.
