I have recently been handed an iphone 4 which was left at a conference I had been attending. Although it had a sim the owner never phoned the number so I could not get it back to them. I have been to an o2 shop and apparently the phone has been blocked in the uk. So I guess the owner reported it lost and got a new phone. There are no contacts, messages or anything on the phone, so I expect it has been wiped by apple. Is there any point in keeping it or can it be unlocked/sold/re-used. I have looked through a few sites before joining this one, and NO it's not stolen, it really was left on a table !
Any help would be appreciated.

1. Why would someone take a phone out with them with no contacts etc?
2. Handing it in to police is crap, phone company better if blocked they may find the owner

Have a look through the iphone threads on here mate theres a guy on ebay does a service whereby you send him the blocked phone and he sends you a brand new boxed iphone 4. I paid 50 quid for his services but i heard its went up a bit now. Or go onto ebay and type in blocked iphone.

Micky its true i sent away a blocked phone and i got a brand new iphone 4 in box back in about 5 days. You email the guy with the phones serial number and he lets you know if the deal is on or not.

You pay ?50 for nothing....all he does is warranty checks the iPhone...if it's still in warranty the phone is physically disabled and and exchanged by Apple ....easy ?50....

Next time you find one in your cab Warranty check the iPhone for free and save ?50....

what happened to honesty ??? i just happened to find a i phone !!!!!!! ffs hand it in , i bet the person who s lost their phone is gutted ..................
