    Problem Iphone 3GS 32GB

    Hello

I have an iphone 3g for 32BG where it came from spain operator Movistar.
When it came my hands had version 4.1 with the base band 06.15.00.
It turns out that yesterday I updated to the latest version for Itunes, and now I can not activate the iphone so it can only see with a Movistar card, and I live in Portugal. But asked to unlock the iPhone on the network, but still paid the same error. "Insert a SIM card in the iphone that is trying to activate and try again" and the card in this case it is Vodafone PT.

Is there any way to put it to work?

I would appreciate your help with the steps you have to give.

    thank you

Run red snow and jailbreak it. From memory that should activate the phone.

Wish people would stop saying run redsnow run this run that etc....there are different versions of redsnow, snowbreeze etc for different iso/fw.. For example this one you would need redsnow 0.9.6 or 0.9.6.beta2. Then to unlock install ultrasnow in cydia once jailbroke.
However think you may now need an original carrier sim to activate

            Thank you.

However, I had to do, and I will not have problems with the baseband? I managed to get a MoviStar original SIM card.

Ios5 install the version from Itunes, and I try to activate the card and then use movistar ultrasn0w right?

Forget iOS5!!! For now Is it 3GS ?? Only tethered jb available on your baseband, you can't change from 6:15 baseband anyway. just jailbreak(Redsnow 0.9.6b2)

              (before you said 3G not 3GS )!!

then activate sim, and then install ultrasnow through cydia

                Okei,

I will then try to activate the iPhone with the SIM card from movistar.
