3gs problem

my m8 got an 3gs and was havin network problems and he did a full reset and phone did nothing after an hour and stuck on apple , lm trying to restore on itunes and it only gets 10% though and stays there no errors just hangs there ,, thied on different pc 's and the same . is there another way to flash f/w onto it ?

That's happened to me a few times when updating Cydis, just sits on the apple screen after rebooting. I had to reset it with the home button and power button together and it took about 10 minutes to reboot.

Have you tried disabling your AV and Firewall?

Did he try an iPad baseband unlock before updating..?

it was jaibroke with poison on 4.2.1 and unlocked with snow , cant understand why it will not restore tho

no m8 its was 1.650 something like that and re set on the phone in setting not on the pc

it wouldnt reboot after he wiped it so l just though l would restore and update to 5.0.1 . l even download ipw f/w but just gets so far

This looks like 06.15.00 baseband....which is the iPad version....
Try building a custom firmware using Sn0wbreeze and upgrade that way...

yes m8 iPhone2,1_5.0.1_9A405_Restore it starts to run and then that picture comes up

downloaded iPhone 3GS-5.0.1_BB6.15.00_Activated_www.iPhoneRock.com_2 and installed all the way but at the end it was itunes says updated and restarting phone and it still hangs at a update screen on the phone still ?


got this to work and jailbroke but as its modified ipsw its a tethered jailbreak but installed coron or something like that and it reboots untethered now.. cheers .. nightmare that was
