Can i restore to stock 5.0.1 with BB 6.15

As the title says. The reason im asking is. I have a 3gs locked to orange. I bought the phone when the 4.3.3 jailbreak was out and installed the ipad basband to unlock. Everything was fine with the phone till i upgraded to 5.0.1 done the jailbreak installed ultrasn0w 1.2.5. Since the upgrade ive had nothing but probs with my signal. For say the first hour of the jailbreak the phone works fine then when i try to make a call or receive a call i get nothing. I still get a full signal but cant call out or in. Ive tryed nearly every redsn0w jailbreak. Ive uninstall ultrasn0w and installed loads of times. Ive flashed the baseband loads of times but i keep ending up with the same prob. I even downgraded back to 4.3.3 and still face the same prob. So what im asking is. Does anyone know what im doing wrong or can i restore back to stock and it will be ok to put a orange sim back in the phone and work because of the baseband. I dont have a orange sim to try though.

l was doing this for 2 days http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums...roblem-250090/ , u cant change base so u have to use modified ipsw , after days of messing about and it still had a low signal it was the aerial connector had come off in the phone under the screen .. bastard thing

Thanks for the reply. Im going to give this a shot in about an hour. Does it need to be redsnow-0-9-6b6 or should i use the latest redsn0w 0.9.10b4

l used the new one m8 , but like l said it was the connector after all that , his orange sim counldnt even connect and 02 did but poor signal and putting wire back on orange worked

Thanks again mate. I will give it a go and post results. I get a full signal thats the bit that confusing me.

Just to give you an update mate. I installed the custom iOS from the link you gave me. So far so good. The phone still seems to be working. I didnt try the Sam. I must have tried at least 5 different custom ones and they all had the same result. The link you gave me was made by sn0wbreeze and not redsn0w. So I think I will stick to sn0wbreeze from now on.
