    iphone 3gs 05.13.04 baseband dump?

    Hi,

    Is it possible to get a dump file of the old baseband for 3gs and write it directly to the chip? anyone have tried it? and anyone have a dump file of old baseband?

      No.... is the answer to your question......But it is possible to physically change the baseband chip of your 3gs effectively unlocking your iPhone to any network. This is possible for iPhone4 as well....Only draw back with this method if new baseband chips are used, the iPhone has to be "Activated" through a jailbreak...as Apple will have no record of the "new" iPhone.

        those chips are the one available in ebay? what im thinking is get one of those and dump it so i can use the file in the future, is there a reader for x-gold 608 chip?

          A friend of mine has used this site to buy the baseband chips for an iPhone4....
          Replace iPhone 3G/3GS Baseband Chip Step-by-Step Guide [Photos] | BeijingiPhoneRepair.com

          He used his works all singing and dancing Infra-red Reflow work station to sort his basband chips on the iPhone4....
          Try buying the your chip from here as they will come pr-programmed. Good Luck
