newbie here with problem with iphone 3gs

hello everyone
i really hope you can help me out i got a problem.
so my friend at college finds iphone 3gs on his way home one night. i know some pple get all the luck however when he turns it on it said this phone is disabled for 22,856,271 minutes and wont let you do anything so he said i could have it if it was any use. so i took out sim and it was orange. (im in the uk) so i was reading different solutions to fix and around 0330hrs i manage to restore it however now the phone wants to be activated i.e with where i from and add wifi etc i go as far as i can. then says only compatible sim cards from carrier can be used however i no longer have the orange sim card. i think i restored it with the is file iPhone2,1_3.0_7A341_Restore. i tried to restore to this one iPhone2,1_5.0_9A334_Restore but when i do i get the iphone could not be restored code 3194

i would like to know how to unlock phone to all networks and jailbreak it. i would also like to do these things for free if possible please help

the phone has probably been blocked by the carrier,in which case flush it down the toilet,its no use to anyone

a little story here for you.

a few christmas's ago i was on a bus going to town,as i was getting off i noticed a purse i picked it up and seen loads of money hanging out.
dilema you would think, christmas time money's tight. keep it maybe, but the persons purse it was could have been an old lady or maybe someone who was last minuite shopping and thats all they had, so i did the right thing and gave it to the bus driver who handed it in. moral of the story is that was someones pride and joy think about it do the right thing. it feels good
