can i unlock my iphone 4

i took my iphone 4g to the market to a guy to see if he could unlock my iphone 4g and he told ne it would be ?60 ,
his there a way i can do it myself ?
firmware model 04.12.01
im rubbing ios5.1
and im on orange if it helps

Agreed orange will unlock it for life for about 20 quid give them a bell.

Not only will orange be cheaper ... the guy at the market is having a laugh at ?60 ... but it is the most reliable unlock too. Some of the so called "market stall" unlocks have a habit of relocking if you give your phone an ios update.

Slight downside is that orange seem to take ages to do the unlock so you may have to wait a bit.

Why not have a Iphone4s unlock sim card.you can get it from eobags.com. very simple to use. Just insert it into your sim tray and it works!

yh ive had issues with orange but eventually theyl do it with a lil persistance.
