i have a jailbroken 3gs that i would like to revert back to normal but it was with orange and i want it onto T Mobile. can you just update software through iTunes or will this brick the phone

connect the phone to itunes and hit the restore button- that will put the phone back to factory settings like new out the box. Try a t mobile sim card to see if works. In the network carrier in the top left if it keeps saying searching then its locked onto orange.
To unlock its best to get a factory unlock from orange for about 20 quid which unlocks the phone for life through itunes. Contact orange customer services to get it done.There is no software unlock at present.
